How you can help our students!

Here is how parents can easily help raise funds for Madison Middle School programs:
The Madison Middle School PTO raises funds year round to support programs that help students and teachers at Madison Middle School. Funds are distributed to teachers' classrooms and student programs through a grant review process. Teachers can request grant money twice a year. This year, the PTO board will consider grant requests and distribute funds on the first Friday in November and the first Friday in March at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome at PTO meetings and we encourage your attendance and input. Last year, grant funds were distributed to pay for things like science experiment supplies, language arts manipulatives, and dictionaries. We hope this letter will let you know how you can easily help MMS with fundraising efforts. Please get involved in any way you can to help our students at MMS.

Donate to the PTO

Each year at school registration, we ask for voluntary donations to the PTO. This year, the PTO received $790 in donations from parents. Thank you for your donations! If you didn't get a chance to donate at school registration, you still can! Donations to the PTO can be made throughout the year at the MMS office.

Join Albertsons Community Partners Program
Join Albertsons Community Partners Program and MMS will receive up to 4% of your Preferred Savings Card eligible purchases each time you shop at Albertsons or Albertsons.com. Last school year, 99 parents had their Preferred Savings Cards linked to MMS and Albertsons donated $853.75 to the school as a result of these purchases. This program costs the shopper nothing. Albertsons donates money based on the amount of your purchases. In the past, you needed to scan a bar code for our school to get credit for your purchases. The program has been updated and you no longer need to scan a barcode. Now, you must designate Madison Middle School as your Community Partner and link your Preferred Savings Card to our school in order to participate. Even if you have used a barcode in the past, you need to re-link your card to make sure the school is receiving contributions from your purchases.
Don't assume because you've already registered with the Albertsons program that your card IS linked with MMS - please check to be sure. To link your Preferred Savings Card with MMS or check your cards status, go to www.Albertsons.com ( http://www.albertsons.com/ ), click on "In the Community", "Albertsons Community Partners", "Shoppers login or register with your Preferred Savings Card", then enter your Preferred Card Number and phone number and designate Madison Middle School as your community partner (Organization Number: 49000109737). If you do not have internet access, or if you have lost your preferred card number, you can call 1-877-932-7948, and an Albertsons' Customer Service Representative will link your card for you. Once you have designated MMS as your Community Partner and linked your card number, contributions will be made automatically on your behalf each time you make a purchase. When you shop you can either present your Preferred Savings Card or give the cashier your phone number. All proceeds from this program are distributed through PTO Grants.

Collect Box Tops For Education and Campbell's Labels for Education
Last year, MMS received over $4,500 from the General Mills Box Tops for Education program. Students clip and bring Box Tops to their teachers. All funds received from this program stay in the classroom where the Box Tops are collected. Teachers can use proceeds for any classroom expense they choose. For every 10 Box Tops your student gives to their teacher, they will receive an entry form for the end of the year prize drawing.
Campbell's Labels for Education are collected by Mrs. Hochstetler and are used to purchase new equipment to benefit students in the PE program at MMS. Clip only the UPC Code with the picture that states "Campbell's Labels for Education". We do not need you to send the entire label.

This on-line shopping program allows MMS to earn contributions for our school based on the amount of your on-line purchases at participating merchants. Then, when you are ready to shop, login at www.onecause.com ( http://www.onecause.com/ )and link to hundreds of participating merchants. Up to 20% of each eligible purchase automatically is donated right back to our school. This program is free to the shopper. All proceeds from this program are distributed to teachers through PTO Grants.

Sign Up for Learning Points Rewards
Learning Points Rewards is a new fundraising program in Madison School District this year. This is a shopping program where you receive a card to present at local participating businesses when you make purchases. The local businesses will donate a percentage of your transaction to the Madison Education Foundation. Your child also receives points based on a percentage of your transaction that they can use to redeem for on-line rewards. To participate, 1) Get a Learning Points Rewards card from MMS, 2) Register the card to your account at www.learningpointsrewards.com ( http://www.learningpointsrewards.com/ ), 3) Give cards to neighbors or relatives and have them register their cards. The Madison Education Foundation will automatically receive a donation based on the amount of your participating purchases. Donations received from this program will increase the Madison Education Perpetual Fund, resulting in additional foundation grant dollars available from the interest on these funds every year.
Ask Your Relatives and Neighbors to Sign Up Too!
You can help the school even more by asking relatives or neighbors to participate in these fundraising programs by simply asking them to sign up or collect for your child. Help us meet our fundraising goals and provide your child's classroom with equipment, supplies, and activities not available through the regular school budgeting process. Thanks for all your support!
